Welcome to our nano piece of paradise!
This is essentially a creative photo blog plus few words. It is about Sandra and Denny's gardens and surrounds. My granddaughter Adelyn calls me "Poppop", hence the blog name. We try to add new images once a week. Older posts are archived at page bottom. Click an image to enlarge. We're having fun. Please! Enjoy!

BLUEBIRDS !

Flashes of blue catch my eye, and life is good. There is something to that, with those bluebirds. More birds, more spring bulbs, hosta rising, quince flowering, forsythia, magnolia, grasses growing, and even some weeds ... here we go! Lots of work to do.

Spring Sprang !

Often here, the 1st day of spring feels much more like winter. Not so this year. Peas and garlic are up. Flowers are popping left and right. Trees are blooming. Grass is greening. Strange thing is, we still have 6 weeks before the danger of frost drops off! So, just like the plants and birds, we will certainly enjoy it all while we can!

Another garden is BORN!

We cannot say it's been "a long hard winter". It was not. Even still, the sight of crocus blossoms in the lawn, and all the emerging tips of all the other waking plants, is always heartening in spring. They don't call it "spring!" for nothing. Each year it's another set of  miracles.

Mmmmmmmm!
What is THIS? Was this the last little gasp of winter last week?? We shall see.
