Chipmonks are Sooooo cute....BUT! They DIG. They dig holes in our potted plants, and in the garden beds, and in the mulch, and under just about anything that you don't want them to dig in. So we "chuck" them, with a "half a heart" trap. They simply cannot resist sunflower seed... works every time. Then I get exercise walking them to the "way back" a couple of thousand feet away from the house. We open the door and they take a "flying leap" out into the unknown. They get a new home, and we get a chuckle and fewer holes. I've probably "chucked" a hundred this year! (Video is included below.)
