As it becomes undeniable, the season change is a bit melancholy for me at first, but I do love fall. Today our garden is still yielding tomatoes, peppers, chard, summer squash, onions, herbs, cucumbers, and flowers. The corn, beans, and carrots are done and either eaten, gifted, or preserved for winter. Still to come are winter squash, pumpkins, gourds, soybeans (edamame'), and romanesco (italian cauliflower). The mexican sunflowers are now in full bloom, and they are simply great. The other sunflowers are beginning to droop, and the birds are feasting on the seeds every day. (They use gymnastics!) So, here are a few more sunny shots as well as some that might show the new moods and the feel of fall.
